According to the hosts and guests of FOX’s hit show “Fox and Friends” the media should stop focusing on the Rupert Murdoch/The News of the World/hacking scandal and instead talk about the serious issues affecting America.

On Friday “Fox and Friends” host Steve Doocy and guest Robert Dilenschneider had a lengthy discussion where they both agreed that Rupert Murdoch the owner of FOX News had apologized enough times in the past for the hacking that took place in England and he should be forgiven.

While trying to defend his boss and News Corp. which is the company that employs him Robert Dilenschneider who is a media consultant made the laughable argument that the media should stop covering the scandal and shift to the broader problem of hacking.

Dilenschneider went on to explain that reporters should be explaining to the public how to protect themselves from being hacked and find solutions for companies such as Bank of America, CitiGroup and Sony that are often hacked and get off Rupert Murdoch’s back.

Robert Dilenschneider said:

“For some reason, the public, the media, keep going over this, again, and again, and again. It’s too much.We should move on.”

He added:

“We know it’s a hacking scandal, shouldn’t we get beyond it and deal with the issue of hacking? We have a serious hacking problem in this country.”
